As current president of Sullivan Hardware & Garden, Pat Sullivan continues his father’s legacy of supporting the local churches and community. Over the years, the Sullivan’s have continuously supported not only their own church but also several other parishes around Indianapolis. In April 2009, Sullivan Hardware & Garden was awarded the Corporate Leadership Award during the Spirit of Service Awards Dinner sponsored by the Catholic Charities of Indianapolis, and in 2008, Robert Sullivan was honored as the Indy Sports Foundation’s Irishman of the Year.

Sullivan Hardware & Garden also supports Little Sisters of the Poor, Seeds of Hope, Right to Life of Indianapolis, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity.

Each year, Sullivan Hardware & Garden also hosts various store events to interact with the Indianapolis community. Two of the most popular events are Turkey Fest and Eggfest. Turkey Fest is held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and includes lots of grilled, fried and trashcan turkey as well as sales throughout the store. Eggfest celebrates Big Green Eggs, the world’s best smoker and grill. This event is held during the last weekend in August, and brings in some of the best grillers and smokers in the Midwest who compete to have best dish at the event.
